Over the past few days I've come to realise that content is not the only thing that makes a blog good. So i quickly decided to make my blog's design more snazzy, this took a good chunk of time with countless flicking between two fonts thinking "Which one works better?", because i know some people get quite annoyed at certain supposedly 'jovial' and 'fun' fonts (I must confess that i would be one of those people.) However i'm quite pleased with the end result, (and if anyone doesn't like it, feel free not to air your views), and so i felt quite happy with my work. This happiness was short lived as i finally realised that i could not find my blog on google. It turns out that apparently you've got to ask google to 'crawl' your website in order for it to display it in searches.
I don't see why i have to ask google, i'm sure it knows exactly what i do. Frankly i half expect google to have a full profile on me with my birthday, hometown and favourite chocolate bar (btw it's double decker if you want to buy me one). My theory is that over the past few decades google has been quietly stocking up all this information so that one day it can finally realise it's dream of taking over the whole world under a google empire.
You may be skeptical about my views, but seriously think about it, currently i'm writing this on blogger (owned by google) on google chrome, yesterday i posted a link from youtube (google owned), and right in my pocket is my android phone. And all that's just the tip of the iceberg, the fact is that google controls a lot of your online activities. Yes i know i'm also on facebook which isn't google owned, but google+ has already passed 10mil accounts during its "limited trial period".

May i come back to my phone, i know many people think that apple has the biggest market share in the smartphone market, however that is simply not true (as shown by the graph opposite). Not only that but google has created an alliance with HTC and Samsung, and is now working on bringing apple to its knees, through countless legal suits. (

To be honest though i'm all up for this global takeover. I already live in a google filled world and it seems to work well and more importantly is free. So i say long live google and it's new world empire, but please can it hurry up and make my itunes work properly.
